E D I T O R I A L   As President of the 2008 meeting of the French Society of Phoniatrics, I am very happy to see the vitality of our society while reading the articles published in this issue of the Revue de Laryngologie. As every year, this special issue on Audio-Phonology presents a summary of leaps forward in our field and we are pleased to see that the articles reflect the quality of the presentations and discussions of our annual meeting. The national and international diffusion of the Revue de Laryngologie helps us to have more readers and my hopes are that more ENT doctors will attend our yearly session. Nevertheless we regret the insufficient number of articles concerning the "perception" of phoniatrics. Furthermore this is surprising as the phoniatric specialists have often been at the outposts in particular for the great adventure of cochlear implants. Thus, I hope that for the 2009 meeting which will be chaired by Jocelyne Sarfati, we will host more works on this significant branch of our discipline. It is also the opportunity for me to remind you that you are welcome to send your presentations (with the usual structured abstract) to our President Jocelyne Sarfati (dsarf@aol.com) or to our general secretary Lise Crevier (lise.buchman@numericable.fr) before May 15th 2009.
