E D I T O R I A L   The 2009 conference of the French Society of Phoniatrics and Pathology of communication that I had the pleasure and honor to chair was very fruitful and rich in communications. This beautiful energy and progress of attendance are in line with the results noted in recent years. The vitality and the broad horizons of origin of the speakers are a guarantee of durability and progress of the Society to which we are all very dedicated. Articles discussing Voice were very well exemplified; but also hearing and music listening with some fine speeches by Professor Sebastian Schmerber and Mrs Barbara Tillman who gave us the perspective of cognitive science, so important to receiving side of communication. The torch now passes to Romain Pérouse who takes on his shoulders the next congress and the guidelines of the SSPP. The October 2010 congress promises to be exciting. Hope to see you there!
