During 2009 the G Portmann Institute organizes 2 sessions on the problem of ronchopathy. First of all a session reserved to the French private ENT under the French CME and very quickly after the 6th meeting organized by Doctor Pierre-Jean Monteyrol on the problems of facial growth and sleep disorders. The wellknown Professor Christian Guilleminault from Stanford University is coming for the third time. The ORL are increasingly numerous to be interested in these problems and they are right. Indeed on the one hand they must answer a growing request of the patients and in the other hand they must preserve fields which belongs to their activity at least relating to the surgical aspects of the oral cavity, the oropharynx as well as the nasal cavities. Well, on all the patients are not to operate but much of them are to be explored to diagnose the sleep apneic syndrome. They are capable to propose these explorations, to carry them out and to interpret them. The speciality of somnologist will be able to even attract some ORL and it will be for best for our speciality.
